Official UK ETA fee: £16 per person — same price for all eligible nationalities; each traveller (including children and infants) pays separately.

Payments are processed online only at the end of the application. Cash or in-person payments are not available.

When Is the Fee Charged?

  • At submission

    The £16 fee is charged when you submit the ETA application online.

  • Payment required to process

    Applications are processed only after payment is confirmed.

  • If payment fails

    Your application won’t be submitted — retry with another method.

Refunds & Reapplications

The UK ETA fee is non‑refundable — no refunds if refused, if plans change, or if the ETA expires unused.

  • New passport = new ETA

    If you renew or replace your passport, apply again and pay the fee.

  • After expiry

    ETAs are typically valid for 2 years; after expiry, reapply and pay £16 again.
